Timothy J. Lynch, Sr. is a second generation funeral director and along with his wife Jennifer, owns and operates the Walled Lake, Oxford and Lapeer locations of Lynch & Sons.  A 1971 graduate of Brother Rice High School, he attended Michigan State University and graduated, in 1974, from Wayne State University Department of Mortuary Science where he served as class president.


Tim was instrumental in introducing “death education” to the Walled Lake Schools, where for years he taught seminars and workshops in bereavement and funeral customs.  He has, for thirty years, served as a bereavement consultant to Walled Lake Schools and is a frequent recipient of the Golden Apple Award for his educational initiatives.


Married for over thirty eight years to his childhood sweetheart, Jennifer Justen, Tim has presided over a growing family enterprise.  He has been joined in funeral service by his sons, Tim Jr. and Kevin and his daughter, Katie, all of whom hold licenses, as well as his son-in-law, Mark Capstick, who is also a licensed funeral director.  He and Jennifer are the proud grandparents of Ella, Brennan, Caroline and Henry Lynch, Addison and Livie Lynch and Kaden, Abigail Jennifer, and Lucy Capstick.  They are assisted at the funeral homes by daughters-in-law Jamie Brennan Lynch and Melissa Hagensen Lynch.


Active in numerous civic and community organizations, Tim and Jenny have made great contributions to each community in which they serve.  Tim is Past President of the Wixom-Walled Lake Lions Club, Past Chairman Of The Board of Central Scholarship Funds, Inc., Founding Member of the Foundation For Excellence-Walled Lake Schools, Past Member of the Walled Lake Rotary Club and the Walled lake Area Jaycees, the Past Treasurer of the Walled Lake Chamber Of Commerce and a member of the Walled Lake Schools Crisis Intervention Team.  They have been members for over thirty years of St. William Church in Walled Lake.


He and Jennifer truly represent the motto of Lynch & Sons:  “A Family Tradition of Dignified Service”.

Jennifer Justen Lynch Owner, Comptroller

Jennifer Justen Lynch, along with her husband Tim Lynch Sr., owns and operates the Walled Lake, Oxford and Lapeer locations of Lynch & Sons.  A 1971 graduate of Marion High School, she attended Michigan State University before marrying Tim Sr. in 1973 and beginning her employment with the family firm.  During her career in funeral service Jennifer has worked in all areas of funeral home employment and ownership.


Married for over thirty eight years to her childhood sweetheart, Tim Lynch Sr., Jennifer has helped to preside over a growing family enterprise.  She has been joined in funeral service by her sons, Tim Jr. and Kevin and her daughter, Katie, all of whom hold licenses, as well as her son in law, Mark Capstick, who is also a licensed funeral director.  She and Tim Sr. are the proud grandparents of of Ella, Brennan, Caroline and Henry Lynch, Addison and Livie Lynch and Kaden, Abigail Jennifer, and Lucy Capstick.  They are assisted at the funeral homes by daughters-in-law Jamie Brennan Lynch and Melissa Hagensen Lynch.

Tim Lynch Jr. is a third generation funeral director and is the oldest son of Tim and Jennifer Lynch.  He is a lifelong resident of Walled Lake where he is a 1993 graduate of Walled Lake Central High School.  Upon graduation, Tim attended Michigan State University where he met his wife Jamie and later transferred to Wayne State University where he graduated in 1997 from the School of Mortuary Science.  In 1998 Tim became the first third generation funeral director and manager of Lynch & Sons Funeral Home in Walled Lake.

Tim is a member of St. James Parish in Novi.  Tim is also part of the Walled Lake Schools Crisis Intervention Team with his father Tim Lynch, Sr. and Neal Howald.

Tim lives in Walled Lake with his wife Jamie and their children Ella, Brennan, Caroline and Henry.  In his spare time Tim enjoys spending time with his family, running and mountain biking.

Tori Lebutzki Licensed Funeral Director ToriLebutzki@LynchFuneral.com

Tori Lebutzki is a licensed Funeral Director who joined the Lynch and Sons team in October 2017. From a young age she felt a calling to serve families and went on to attend Wayne State University immediately following high school. In 2008 she graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science and has served the Metro Detroit area ever since.

Neal Howald Funeral Director Assistant, Support Group Facilitator

Neal Howald has been a part-time employee of the Walled Lake funeral home since 1987. He will report full time upon his retirement from Walled Lake Schools where he serves as a special education teacher and coach. Neal has a B.S. in Ed. degree form Central Michigan University and a M.A. from Eastern Michigan University. His duties at the funeral home are varied from facilitating the Life Cycles' Bereavement Support Group to making pre-arrangements and assisting on funerals.

Neal serves as a member of the Walled Lake Schools Crisis Intervention Team and the Legacy Scholarship Fund which provides scholastic scholarships in the memory of deceased students and teachers. Neal also is a member of the Supervisory Committee of the Walled Lake School Employees Federal Credit Union and the Commerce Township Cemetery Committee.

Neal lives in Commerce Township with his wife Maureen who also works part-time at the funeral home. Their involvement with the funeral home is a family affair as Neal and Maureen's two daughters, Kristina and Jessica, also work at the Walled Lake funeral home.

Mary Whalen Office Manager

Mary Whalen joined the Lynch & Sons Funeral Home as the office Manager in 1999 after a 17 year career with Henry Ford Hospital/Maplegrove Treatment Center.

She and her husband, Patrick, make their home in Commerce Twp., where they raised their two children, Stephanie(Patrick)Kennedy and Patrick Jason(Laurel)Whalen.

Mary takes great pride in being a team player whether it be at work, on the softball field or at the gym. Being part of the Lynch & Sons Funeral Home “team” has brought Mary many incredible and rewarding moments. Besides being a dedicated employee, Mary considers raising two successful and happy children who married wonderful spouses to be one of her greatest accomplishments.

Spoiling her grandchildren, recognizing the value of family and service to those families in need give Mary great joy and satisfaction.

Neal Howald

Neal Howald has been a part-time employee of the Walled Lake funeral home since 1987. Mary Whalen joined the Lynch & Sons Funeral Home as the office Manager in 1999 after a 17 year career with Henry Ford Hospital/Maplegrove Treatment Center.
