Abbe Lee Mulholland of Walled Lake was born September 13, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan to Archie James and Virginia Sue (nee: Marshall) Mulholland. She died September 8, 2019 at the age of 58.

Abbe is the beloved daughter of the late Archie “Buddy” and the late Virginia “Jeanne” Mulholland. Dear sister of Julie (Roy) Johnson. Loving aunt of Jessi (Michael) Lanius. The most awesomest aunt of Daven and Jude. Beloved niece of Sandra (the late Kenn) Meredyk, Cherry (the late Arnie) Smerecki. Also survived by numerous cousins, extended family members and friends including her special friend Laureen Sendel-Grant, (COL RET) She will be dearly missed by fur babies Sampson and Bella.

Command Sergeant Major Abbe Mulholland assumed the reponsibilities as Command Sergeant Major, 86th Training Division, Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, on February 15, 2016. She enlisted on 7 November 1977 and completed Basic Combat Training at Fort McClellan, Alabama.

Command Sergeant Major Mulholland has held positions of increasing leadership responsibility throughout her military career. Key leadership roles include; First Sergeant, 428th Military Police Company, Niles, MI; First Sergeant Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 300th Military Police Command, Inkster, MI; Operations Sergeant Major, 384th Military Police Battalion, Fort Wayne, Indiana; Command Sergeant Major, 415th Civil Affairs Battalion, Kalamazoo, MI; Command Sergeant Major, 2/84th Battalion (Military Police), Inkster, Michigan; Command Sergeant Major, 2/100th (Military Police), Inkster, Michigan ; Command Sergeant Major, 9/100th Battalion (Command and General Staff College), Columbus, Ohio; Command Sergeant Major, 97th Training Brigade (Intermediate Level Education) Fort Sheridan, Illinois; Command Sergeant Major, 300th Military Police Brigade, Inkster, Michigan; and interim Command Sergeant Major, 200th Military Police Command, Ft Meade, Maryland. She deployed to Kosovo for Operation Joint Guardian as Command Sergeant Major, 415th Civil Affairs Battalion from July 2002 through April 2003.

Her military education includes Military Police Course, Stenography Course, Primary Leadership Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Personnel Administration Course, First Sergeant Course, Special Operations Forces Pre-Command Course, Defense Support to Civil Authorities, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education Course, and Keystone, Command Senior Leader Course. She is a July 1997 graduate of U.S. Army Sergeant Major Academy, Sergeants Major Course.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, Management of Human Resources, and an Associate degree in Business Administration, Information Technology.

Command Sergeant Major Mulholland’s military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (with 1 OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (12th Award); National Defense Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Gold Hour Glass, Bronze Hour Glass, and “M” Device, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 6, Army Service Ribbon, Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon (4th Award) , and the NATO Medal. Badges include Excellence in Competition (Rifle), Expert Marksmanship Badge (Rifle), and the German Schutzenschnur-Weapons Marksmanship Badge (Silver).

Command Sergeant Major Mulholland retired as the Systems Security Manager for the State of Michigan, Department of Human Services, Office of Technology and Information Management.
