David Michael Husak, Sr. of Walled Lake, formerly of Westland, was born July 27, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to Michael and Helen (nee: Maslak) Husak.  He died March 30, 2020 at the age of 75.

Loving father of Dave Husak, Jr. and Paul (Cassandra) Husak.  Dear grandfather / Gigi of Cody (Arlene), Evan, Paul  Jr., Isabella, Anna, Sophia, Victoria, John, Joseph, Peter, Timothy, Nicholas and Lydia.  Mr. Husak was expected to be a great-grandfather in June of this year.  Brother of Julie Husak, Mickey Husak, Kathy (Gerard) Tarnacki and the late Mary Jane (Dick) Johnston. Brother-in-law of Harvey (Shirley) Gagne, Ed (Sharon) Tallon and the late Fr. John Tallon, C.S.B.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Mr. Husak was a 1963 graduate of Harvey H. Mr. Husak was proud owner of Husak Dodge in Detroit.  A devout Catholic, he was dedicated to his faith and especially the rosary. He was a longtime and loyal usher at both St. Richard and St. William Parishes and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council Number 4064 at St. William Parish. In his free time, he was an avid golfer, croquet enthusiast, and he enjoyed playing horseshoes.  As his sons grew up he never missed one of their sporting events and that tradition continued on with his grandchildren’s events as well.  He was loving husband, father, and grandfather (Gigi) who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
