Obituary for Florence I. Deimling

Florence I. Deimling was born August 6, 1913 in Pontiac, Michigan to Claude and Pearl (nee: Rosetter) Garvey, and went home to The Lord February 12, 2013 at the age of 99.

On June 6, 1934 she became the beloved wife of Joseph Deimling, who preceded her in death in 1969.
Florence is the loving mother of Carol (Clyde) Black, Joseph Deimling, Mary Deimling, Margaret (Jim) Briggs, James (Jenny) Deimling, Ruth (Thomas) Williamson and Paul (Karen) Deimling. She is the dear grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Thelma Noll, and is preceded in death by her sister, Caroline Marie Muzik, brothers Robert Garvey, Frank William Garvey and Claude Garvey; her grandchildren, Jennifer Black and Jonathan Black and daughter-in-law, Janet Deimling.
Florence was a member of First Baptist Church of Walled Lake, Michigan where she was a Sunday school teacher and active in the women's missionary society. She attended First Baptist Church of Richmond after moving to Indiana. Florence retired from Walled Lake Schools where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. Through the years she made many quilts for her children and grandchildren.

The funeral for Florence will take place at First Baptist Church of Walled Lake (309 Market Street, Walled Lake) on Friday at 12:30PM. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home (340 N. Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake) from 9AM to 12PM. Interment will take place at Walled Lake Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Baby Pantry at First Baptist Church of Walled Lake.
