Obituary for Frank T. Skyner

Frank T. Skyner of Wixom formerly of Dearborn Heights, was born December 8, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank and Antonia (nee: Ptak) Skrzyniarz. He died November 1, 2018 at the age of 86.

Mr. Skyner is the beloved husband of 61 years to Patricia (nee: Vedro) Skyner. Loving father of Karen (Mark) Biggings, Kevin (Joyce), Karl (Michael) and Kurt (Stacy) Skyner. Grandfather of Chadwick, Alex, Kayla, Nathin, Max, Jillian, Madison and Mason. Dear brother of Walter (the late Rose) and Vera (the late Jim) Roberts. He is preceded in death his sisters Gene (Stan) Kiwak, Olga, Lucille, Dorothy (Cameron) Morrison and Theresa (Lou) Klott and is his brothers Eddie Skyner and Stan (Martha) Skyner. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Mr. Skyner was a US Army veteran during the Korean War. He graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering. He was fun loving and enjoyed wood carving. More than anything he liked to spend time as his cottage in Gladwin. He had a love of food and sweets and enjoyed going out to eat with his wife.

Funeral mass from St. William Catholic Church, 531 Common Street Walled Lake, Monday 10 AM. Friends may visit at the church Monday 9:30 AM until time of service. Memorials to the American Cancer Society appreciated.
