Obituary for Gerard Adam Hamann

Gerard Adam Hamann was born on October 25, 1955. He was the second of eight children born to the late Arthur and Evelyn Hamann. Gerard passed away on December 29, 2018 at his home in Commerce Twp surrounded by his family.

Gerard was full of life. He loved to immerse himself in a good book, cheer on all the Detroit Sports teams or hit the links and spend the day on the golf course. But what mattered most to him was spending time with his family.

Mr. Hamann was the beloved husband of Geralyn for 38 years. Loving father of Julie Hamann, Jaclyn (Vlad) Grodzinskiy and Eric (Jillian) Hamann. Cherished brother of Kenneth (Ellen) Hamann, Laurie (Sam) Dahin, David (Barb) Hamann, Richard (Terry) Hamann, Robert (Darlene) Hamann, Joseph Hamann and MaryAnne (Dane) Wright.

The Hamann family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday January 2, 2019 from 3-8 pm, with a Rosary Service 7 pm, at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 340 N Pontiac Trail (3 blocks south of Maple Rd) in Walled Lake.

His life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass on Thursday January 3, 2019 at 10 am, with in state 9:30 am, at St. William Catholic Church 531 Common St. (at Pontiac Trail) in Walled Lake.
