Obituary for Harold George Sartor

Harold George Sartor Sr. age 71 years of age died August 3, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born June 20, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Thelma and Clarence Sartor. Harold spent his childhood in Oklahoma being raised by his loving grandparents George and Jenni Spears. Harold was a graduate of Hartshorne High School in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. He has been passionate about Asphalt Paving Services his entire life and owned various Asphalt Paving Companies. He has worked in both Michigan and Florida throughout his life.

Harold married Carol Hazlett on November 15, 1991. Together they worked side by side as partners to grow Professional Restoration in Walled Lake, Michigan. He is survived by his wife Carol Sartor and children Sandra Young and her husband Paul Young of Newnan, GA; Harold Sartor and his wife Denise Sartor of White Lake, MI; Jennifer Swartzel and her husband Andy Swartzel of Hendersonville, TN; Thomas James Sartor and Michael Andrew Sartor both of Milford, MI. Harold has numerous grandchildren he is survived by. Also surviving are his brothers Don “Big” Sartor and Clarence Sartor. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Thelma Sartor and brother Ron Sartor. He also had many nieces and nephews and numerous treasured friends he leaves behind on his Heavenly journey.

Harold enjoyed his time outside with all his family and friends as well as his many travels around the world with his family. He loved being with Nature and truly is considered the original “Crocodile Dundee.” He always enjoyed the Next Big Adventure and had little to no fear of anything. As a business owner and employer he was able to touch many lives and influenced many young men in their careers and life. His “You Can Do It” Spirit set the tone in all he did in life. He was very willing to mentor and support many people in their life’s goals and journey and willing to always share words of “Senior Wisdom.” He always felt the worst four letter word was “can’t”. The blessing of having Harold in your life was he was always willing to share his thoughts and advice with you so you could gain his wisdom!

His life will be celebrated at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Tuesday 11 AM. Friends may visit Monday 2-8 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family care of Carol Sartor.
Harold will continue to live on with wonderful stories and memories he made with his family and friends. His legacy is one of generosity, adventure and laughter.
