Obituary for Marlene Julia Sharpy

Marlene Julia Sharpy was born on August 7 1932 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She was the only child of the late Walter and Julia Brudzinski. Marlene passed away on January 18, 2019 at her home in Commerce Twp, Michigan with her family by her side.

At a picnic many years ago, Marlene met a young man names Joseph Sharpy. The two quickly bonded over their love of music through the church choir. Their love and faith remained strong throughout all their years of marriage.

Marlene dedicated herself to her faith and family. Along with Joseph she sang in the choir at St. William Catholic Church since the late 1950’s. She also volunteered in the kitchens helping prepare funeral luncheons for parishioners and their families. She was always there for her children, taking them to practice, helping with problems that may arise, preparing a hearty homemade meal and just generally being a great and loving mom. Marlene was a talented knitter and crocheter. All her items were handmade with love and care.

Marlene was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Sharpy for 64 years. Loving mother of Walter (Dawn) Sharpy, Alyce (Dennis) Seefeldt, Katherine (Tony Webster) Sharpy and Steven Sharpy. Proud grandma of Michael Sharpy, Bryan Sharpy, Leslie Sharpy, Kimberly (Kevin) Bowen, Lauren (Lance) Eckard, Samantha (Michael) Holbert, Jeremy Padrock and Madisyn Sharpy and great-grandma of Owen Sharpy, Ava Sharpy, David Bowen, Landon Holbert and Vanessa Holbert.
