Obituary for Meredith Lee McIntosh

Meredith Lee McIntosh of Dearborn, formerly of Commerce Township was born August 10, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Howard Lewis and Ethel Lenora (nee: Conley) Shrider. She died December 5, 2017 at the age of 82.

Mrs. McIntosh is the beloved mother of Monica (Edward) White and Bonnie (Kirk) Sample. Grandmother of Jason White, Jennifer (John) Baker and Dennis (Christina) Sample. Great grandmother of Ashlyn Baker and Michael Sample. Sister of Darald Shrider, the late Howard Lloyd Shrider and the late Terry Shrider.

Meredith worked very hard raising her two girls as a single mom. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very precious to her. She enjoyed crafting, reading and Christmas cookie day. Since she was 8 she had a circle of girlfriends that continue to get together every Christmas, which was a very special time of year for Meredith. We would also like to acknowledge Davita Dialysis of Dearborn and the very special group of people there who deserve our love and admiration for giving our mom the wonderful care she has received for the past 9 years.

Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Saturday 1-4 PM. Interment will be at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia. Memorials to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan or the Wounded Warrior Project appreciated.
