Obituary for Michael Dean House

Michael Dean House of Commerce Township was born on January 16, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan to Larry Dean and Vicki Sheryl (nee: Weller) House. He died March 23, 2013 at the age of 47.

Mike is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sheri, his children Jake and Katie, his parents Larry and Vicki, his sister Lori (Dave) Mize, and his mother in law Martha (Rick) Barczak. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law, extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father in law John (Connie) Callison.

Mike was a 1983 graduate of Livonia Churchill High School. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Michigan where he obtained his Bachelor Degree, and then later attended Eastern Michigan University to complete his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. A huge sports fan, Mike was very involved in the community and was interested in whatever activities his children were pursuing. This led him to volunteer and coach for many different sports teams such as with the Commerce Little League, Multi-Lakes Gators Football team, Interlakes Girls Softball League, Wixom Bandits Travel Softball League and he was the current Junior Varsity Softball Coach at Walled Lake Western High School. He was also a partner in Commerce Indoor Little League. Mike worked for the Michigan Department of Education as a Project Manager with the Testing and Evaluation Divison. He was an avid University of Michigan and Tigers Baseball fan and especially enjoyed watching football and baseball.

Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Thursday 11 AM. Friends may visit Wednesday 2-9 PM.
