Obituary for Ralph H. Strongman

Ralph H. Strongman of Beverly Hills was born October 23, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles Stanley and Mary Lindsay (nee: Fairgrieve) Strongman. He died April 8, 2017 at the age of 95.

Mr. Strongman is the beloved husband of the late Patricia J. Strongman (nee: Martin) (d. 1996). Loving father of Scott (Krista) Strongman and Roger Strongman. Grandfather of Brett, Miranda and Dakota. Brother of Marjorie (James) Hamilton and the late Gordon Strongman. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews extended family members and friends.

Mr. Strongman was US Army Anti Aircraft Artillary Captain and combat veteran who served in the South Pacific during WWII. During his military career he earned 4 Battle Stars and a Bronze Arrowhead. He was later employed by General Motors as an hourly employment supervisor where he retired June 1, 1985 after 45 years of service. He enjoyed and participated in many sports and was involved in community affairs.

Graveside committal services with military honors will be held at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Thursday 12 Noon. Friends may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake (3 Blks. S. of Maple Rd.) Wednesday 3-7 PM. Memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association appreciated.
