Robert Emanuel Dorman Jr. Recently passed on January 17, 2017 after a short illness. He was born on May 13, 1941 in Pontiac General hospital to Margaret E. Dorman and Robert E. Dorman, Sr. Of Orchard Lake, Michigan. Robert graduated from Pontiac Central High and joined the U.S. Navy where he was trained in electronics and electrical engineering. He served during the Vietnam Era and was an Petty Officer 2nd Class on the Kitty Hawk, a newly commissioned aircraft carrier.

He was an excellent water skier and lived on Maceday Lake where he taught young relatives to ski and manage the speed boat. Bob also loved building model cars and airplanes. His collection of Lionel trains was fantastic and he delighted his family with large model set ups during the holidays. Bob took his family on many trips to cottages on the Great Lakes with the rest of the Dorman family. The great cook outs and fishing trips will be a savored memory.
