Obituary for William O. Craig Sr.

William Oscar Craig Sr., of Wixom, was born on November 5, 1942 in Illinois. He passed away on December 15, 2018 at the age of 76.

Mr. Craig provided for his family through his career at General Motors, where he retired from in 1998 after 36 years. An avid outdoorsman, Bill loved to golf, hunt and walk the dogs with his children. Anything to be outside enjoying the fresh air. A love for photography showed his patient side. He was able to wait for just the right moment to take the perfect photo, with breathtaking results. Bill was also a devout Christian. He, along with wife Sue, were regulars in the church choir, singing the Gospel to all. Above all else Bill was a family man, who loved and cherished those he held dear. He will be deeply missed by all those who were lucky enough to have known him.

William was the loving husband of Susan, who he wed on June 15, 1963 and enjoyed 55 years of marriage with. Cherished father of William Oscar (Rachael) Craig Jr., Michael Ray (Nicole) Craig and Julie Ann Craig. Proud Papa of William Oscar III, Elena, Jackson, Samuel, Sophia and Malena. Dear brother of the late Norma Tyler, Patsy Massey, Richard “Tom” (Judy) Craig and Beth Scharf.

The Craig family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 3-8 pm at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 340 N. Pontiac Trail (3 blocks south of Maple Rd) in Walled Lake.

HIs life will be celebrated with a Funeral Service on Friday December 21, 2018 at 11 am at the funeral home.

Bill will be laid to rest at Wixom Cemetery.

The family asks for your participation and would greatly appreciate those who come to celebrate Bill’s life to share a memory or story in writing. There will be a place available during the visitation to place your memory.
